Interesting, this must have just been a jam that they later made into "Black & White". That's a cool little time nugget.

By '97 SCI had their act down and really had a sense of direction, and all the shows from '98 bear witness to that. You just can't find a bad '98 show. This soundboard has great audio quality, great music, great everything. This was the era when you could still see the guys up close in bars. In another couple of years, that would come to an end. Sigh...the good ol' days. Some 2,000+ folks have downloaded this, and there's a reason. It's good stuff.

Ashame I was not there...this is a fantastic show. Great playing and top notch sound quality. I prefer pre-2000 SCI anyway. Didn't SCI play the Fillmore West (or some venue in San Fran) sometime in March 1998? If so, why aren't those shows up here. Back in the summer of 1998 I got ahold of a few tapes from a fan in Norman, OK...I could of sworn they were from San Fran in March 1998. Someone who knows please tell me. Peace to all.

If you look at the info file, or the notes section below, both will tell you that the song was missing from the recording.

Just taking a listen to this fine gem, and Hold What Ya Got seems to be missing from this source. It is supposed to be sandwiched between Sciota & MLT. Is it missing on the original seed?

This is where it began for me! My first ever "Incident!" In the fall of 1997, Joel Tarantal sent me my first String Cheese tape (Sheridan Opera House show). I said, "This is the band for me!" Had to miss the Showbox-Seattle show because I was at Outdoor Education Camp with my fifth graders. Talked my wife and another couple into driving to Tacoma to what looked like a geodesic dome of a venue. The Mothership was a heavy metal bar/club, complete with metal detectors. Was kinda funny to see the Barefoot Boys playing there, but what the heck! Talked with the owner who was excited about his Hammond B-3, which he hoped Kyle would play. Smallish crowd. We were close to the stage, and it just blew my mind. Six years on, and I still get a big old grin when I see them. Thanks, Craig, for uploading this show!
